Umar Farooq Aslam leads engineering at Omnieon, bringing nearly a decade of deep technical expertise and proven leadership across fintech, health-tech, and decentralized technology solutions. As Head of Engineering and Interim CTO, Umar directs the strategic alignment and execution of Omnieon’s technology vision, guiding the development of scalable, secure, and compliant architectures tailored for global fintech ecosystems.
Umar’s career includes significant contributions to high-impact platforms and applications, notably Google Maps Platform, Coinbase, Elbe AI, Jimini Health, Sudoswap, Berachain, Cognito Health, Rhythm, LavaPay, Global Village, Okay Bears, and WAGMI United. At Lazer Technologies, he developed immersive 3D visualization demos leveraging the Google Maps Platform and built sophisticated due diligence tools with AI-driven document analytics for Elbe AI. His work on Jimini Health focused on delivering intuitive mobile-first experiences, while his contributions to Sudoswap included redesigning the user interface, integrating Web3 transactions, and implementing complex UX features such as filtering and calculations.
Umar contributed significantly to Coinbase’s Onchain Summer initiative, crafting engaging creator and social flows using Next.js, React, React Native, and TypeScript. At Berachain, he led the frontend development of the Berachain Bridge, enabling seamless cross-chain token transfers via LayerZero using a stack including Next.js, MUI, Turborepo, TypeScript, and React. For Okay Bears and WAGMI United, Umar integrated advanced token-gated solutions, implementing Web3 wallet authentication to deliver exclusive access and blockchain-based content experiences.
At Cognito Health and Rhythm, Umar led the implementation of HIPAA-compliant backend systems and robust analytics infrastructures, aligning advanced engineering methodologies with stringent regulatory demands. With LavaPay and Global Village, he successfully scaled microservices-based platforms from inception, managing full-cycle delivery including frontend architectures, micro-frontend strategies, and automated CI/CD infrastructures on AWS.
